Chandigarh: The six weeks ‘mobile app development and digital marketing course which started on 16th January, 2021 at GGDSD College, Kheri Gurna for the first time in collaboration with iTinker was
successfully completed today. The program which was intended for imparting technical and other
entrepreneurial skills to the students of the college was attended by a batch of 18 students and 2
faculty members. In the valedictory ceremony held on 26th February, 2021 in the college campus,
Prof. Dr. Rama Arora welcomed the guests. Mr. Ashish Jain, Chief Happiness Officer of iTinker
highlighted that the objective of the program is to enhance the entrepreneurial and
employability skills of the students of the college.
The first batch of 18 students was divided in 3 groups of 6 students each. Each group developed
an app that will also be available on the play store. Each group gave a demo of an app developed by
them. The faculty members also showed their app which was developed to share their academic
notes, PPTs, and other study material. The participating members were awarded the certificate
of participation. On the basis of efficiency in learning, an employment letter was offered by iTinker to
three students – Rahul Kathuria, Aanchal Rana, and Sumanjeet Kaur.
In his concluding remarks, Maj. Gen. A.K. Shori (Chairman) appreciated this unique and
progressive initiative taken by the college which is surely one step forward towards the vision
shared by the management of our college to make this college unique and different. The
management of the college also congratulated the students for being a part of this program. The
session concluded with the recitation of the National Anthem.
