Uttrakhand secure Ist, 3rd position, J&K got 2nd in women Sprint Event

Gulmarg, Feb 26 (UNI) Menaksha from Uttrakhand secured the first position while second went to Jammu and Kashmir in the Women Sprint Event on the first day of the 2nd Khelo India National winter games at this world famous ski resort on Friday.
Jammu and Kashmir, Director General, Sports Authority of India (SAI), Mukund Pradhan, flagged off women players for Sking Mountaineering of Sprint Event at Church slope, Gulmarg.
A total of seven players participated in the event including three from Uttrakhand, two from J&K and one each from Orissa and Madhya Pradesh.
Each one of the seven players tried their skill with experience at their back.
However, Menaksha from Uttrakhand stood ahead by securing first postion and completing the event in just 4 minutes and 30 seconds, Ishani from J&K obtained second position with a duration of 4 minutes and 35 seconds while Sheetal from Uttrakhand got 3rd position and it took her 4 minutes and 59 seconds to cross the final line.
