Casper Sleep: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

NEW YORK (AP) _ Casper Sleep Inc. (CSPR) on Wednesday reported a loss of $15 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had a loss of 37 cents. Losses, adjusted for restructuring costs, came to 33 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 39 cents per share.

The company posted revenue of $150.3 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $139.2 million.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $89.6 million, or $2.42 per share. Revenue was reported as $497 million.

For the current quarter ending in April, Casper Sleep said it expects revenue in the range of $118 million to $125 million.

Casper Sleep shares have increased 54% since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped slightly more than 6% in the last 12 months.
