KAPU Meet 2021 – A tribute to Late Benny Khongsai on 13th February 2021

The Kuki Artiste Progressive Union (KAPU) – an artiste association of the Kuki community in collaboration with the Kuki Students’ Organisation, Churachandpur (KSO-CCP) pays a fitting tribute to the late legendary singer Benny Khongsai by organizing “KAPU Meet 2021” under the theme ‘Jailan Oi Ute Kanam’ at Tuibong DHQ Playground, Churachandpur on the 13th February 2021.

The meet was the first of its kind after the Union was revived in 2018.

A candle light vigil and a minute silence were also observed as a mark of showing respect to the departed singer.

A number of renowned artiste performed in the event; Pu Jangkholam Haokip @Jimmy Lamboi; Paoboi Touthang and a host of KAPU members namely, L.Mimin Haokip, AriesHaoneo Kuki, Robert Baite, Len Lhungdim, Mimin Haokip, M.J Chongloi, Marina Haokip, Boigin Guite, Ever Boilen Haokip, George Guite, Kleven Sitlhou, Lenthang Kipgen, Malsom Singson,Nenei Doungel, Pithang Haokip, Sam bylonk, Tingneo Vaiphei, Tracy Nengboi Baite, Vicky Minlun, Mangcha Doungel, Psycho Letgoulen Singson, Neo Mate, Anjali Lamneo, Ronika Kom, performed during the event.

KKL-GHQ, Kuki Inpi Ccpur and various other CSOs of the district also attended the event.
