Chaos ensued after a fire engulfed a patch of forest area on the bank of river Yamuna near Delhi's Rajghat on Wednesday. A dense cloud of smoke rising from the spot was visible in several parts of the national capital.
It was a passerby who eventually alerted the Delhi Fire Department about the blaze around 2.45 pm.

According to fire officials, 10-12 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was brought under control.
It is still unclear what caused the fire.
