BHUBANESWAR: The state police headquarters has set up a four-member committee to screen the profiles of police personnel applying for deputation to the economic offences wing (EOW) and the special task force (STF).
The committee will be headed by the additional director general of police (Crime Branch) with respective deputy inspectors general of EOW and STF as members. The committee’s fourth member will either be an assistant inspector general, inspector general or deputy inspector general, who will be nominated by the director general of police. The committee will select suitable Havildar Majors, constables and sepoys to handle the work of the EOW and STF. Further, the selection committee shall adjudge the suitability of the police personnel applying for deputation. “The committee will send its screening proceedings for approval of the DGP for the posting of Havildar Majors, constables and sepoys on deputation,” said order issued by the police headquarters.
