Winnability will be criteria to ticket seekers in Himachal : Kuldeep Rathore

Solan, Feb 24 (UNI) Exhorting the party workers and leaders to pull-up their socks to capture the powers in upcoming assembly and civic body polls in the state, Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Kuldeep Rathore on Wednesday categorically said the winnability would only be the criteria during the allotment of party tickets in the state.
The HPCC chief appealed the party’s front line leaders to ensure full cooperation and accord preference to party’s grass root workers to achieve the target and oust the BJP government that has failed on all fronts during the past three years in the state.
In his address to party workers on the concluding day of “Training camp”, organized by Solan Block Congress Committee at Sadhupul in Kandaghat sub division, Rathore appreciated the Solan Block Congress for organizing the training camp and said that such training camp will be started by the Congress party very soon at the state level, at the block level and at the rural level, to apprise the public concerning the history of the Congress party sacrifices and development works carried out in the state by previous Congress governments.
He said to give preference to the booth level workers for strengthening the party base identity cards would be issued to active workers. He said Congress party would win by an overwhelming majority in the coming Municipal corporation elections and the party ticket would be allotted to the winning candidates. On the basis of the recommendation of the big leaders, there will be no ticket allocation, the candidate with mass base and active contact with the public will be given the ticket.
The HPCC said, “We will allot the ticket only after knowing the public opinion to the leaders who will have to capture the seats in their respective wards.” He asked the workers to highlight the failures of the BJP government before the people. He also criticized the government for the anti-people policies of the central government, especially the anti-farmer laws.
He said the public has made up its mind to teach a lesson to BJP and has decided to ensure the victory of congress candidates with maximum votes. Today, the country is passing through a severe economic crisis, the entire credit of which has been due to the failed policies of the BJP, especially owing to implementation of demonetisation and then to bring the GST out of preparedness without thinking even about the epidemic.
Having forced millions of people to wander on the streets, they were already failing to provide employment and since Covid, the number of unemployed in the country is increasing, which is a matter of great concern.
Solan MLA Dr Col D R Shandil was present among all the workers for two consecutive days in this event and thanked them for organizing such an event in Solan constituency.
