Axar Patel is having a dream start to his Test career. After a five-wicket haul on debut in Chennai, the left-arm spinner now has a six-wicket haul in Ahmedabad that helped India bowl England out for just 112 runs at the Narendra Modi stadium. England opted to bat first but struggled against spin as they often do. Axar returned figures of 6 for 38 while senior partner R Ashwin got 3 for 26. England’s innings lasted less than two sessions – only 48.4 overs. Axar got the wickets of Zak Crawley, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes, Foakes, Jofra Archer and Stuart Broad.
