The first edition of the Road Safety World Series that was called off after playing four games in March last year due to the ongoing Covd-19, will be resumed this year. The resumed Road Safety World Series will have teams including India Legends, South Africa Legends, Sri Lanka Legendsand West Indies Legends. The Australian Legends side will miss this tournament; however, England Legends and Bangladesh Legends will fill their void.

The tournament will commence with Indian legends taking on their Bangladesh counterparts in the first match scheduled on March 5. All matches of the series will be played in the newly built 65,000 capacity Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, in Raipur, Chhattisgarh and will start at 7:00 pm IST.

After the group stage games of the tournament, the top four teams will be up against each other in two semi-finals slated to be played on March 17 and 19, followed by the final of the marquee event on March 21.

Cricket fans across the world will once again see superstars of yesteryears in action. An array of legends such Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Brian Lara, Bret Lee, Muttiah Muralitharan andJonty Rhodes, among others will be back on the field to recreate their magic.

In another good news for cricket fans, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to allow spectators in the stadium. The tickets for the same can be booked from the official partner bookmyshow. The minimum price of the ticket is Rs 100, while the passes for the knockout games and the matches involving India Legends start at Rs. 500.

The series’ games can also be watched from the comfort of your homes as they will broadcast live on COLORS Cineplex, COLORS Kannada Cinema, FTA channel Rishtey Cineplex. They will also be live streamed on VOOT and Jio digital platforms.

The annual T20 cricket tournament was organised to create awareness towards road safety in the country. It is an initiative by Road Safety Cell of Maharashtra in association with Professional Management Group (PMG).
