India will host England in the third Test match from Wednesday, February 24. The third Test will be a day-night clash and will be played with the pink ball at the Motera Stadium, in Ahmedabad. The matchis scheduled to start at 2:30 PM IST. Currently, both sides have a win each and the match is expected to be action-packed. After today’s match there is only one more Test to go.

As the match starts around late noon time in India, it is likely to be hot and sunny in Ahmedabad on all five days of the match. The average temperature will be around 35 degrees Celsius during the day and will drop down to 25 in the evening. There is no probability of rain or thunderstorms during the course of the Test match.

The Motera Stadium last hosted an international test match in November 2012. It remains to be seen how the pink ball performs at the venue, which will be hosting its first international game in nine years. As the pink ball has historically favoured the pacers more, it is to be seen how it will be with the spinners. The pink ball swings a lot initially and bowlers from both sides will look to maximize in that period. The wicket at the Motera stadium is likely to assist the spinners as well, as the pitch recently assisted turn in the final of the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, but only before dew set in.
