PANAJI: In view of the rising Covid cases in the neighbouring states, chief minister Pramod Sawant on Monday asked the health department to review the situation in other parts of the country.
“Necessary decision will be taken after the state health department takes stock of the situation in other states,” the chief minister told TOI, after a review meeting with health minister Vishwajit Rane.

TOI on Monday had reported that the chief minister will hold a meeting with the health minister and other officials to discuss if the state needs to impose any restrictions in view of the increasing number of Covid infections in the neighbouring states.
The state has been monitoring the Covid-19 situation in Maharashtra and other states since the last few days. Rane had said that if required strict measures will be taken.
Rane had said that since many people from Maharashtra, Kerala and Karnataka come to Goa, there is a need to review the situation.
