Vaccine recipients’ tally crosses 4 lakh mark in Tamil Nadu
The state discharged 453 patients from the Covid-19 registry, and added 442 fresh cases on Tuesday which pushed the cumulative case tally to 8,49,166. There were 4,074 people in the active cases list. The state reported six deaths due to the viral infection until Tuesday noon, which took the Covid-19 death toll to 12,472.
Tamil Nadu transport workers' unions have announced that they will go on strike from Thursday. Unions said more than one lakh employees would participate in the strike and 80% government bus services would be affected. The state has 21,000 government buses.
