THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Based on the report of senior officials who conducted negotiation with protesting PSC rank holders, the government has begun the analysis of vacancy positions ahead of formally conveying the protesters about the government’s position regarding their demand to recruit maximum number of PSC rank holders in government posts.
Chief secretary Vishwas Mehta held a meeting with all the additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries, secretaries and all the heads of the departments on Monday regarding the PSC vacancies in their respective departments.
Pro-forma sheets were also given to all the department heads to fill and it contained heads like posts, existing vacancies, details of posts which could not be reported, if any, because of court stay or seniority dispute and reported vacancies.
Efforts are on at the top level of the government to issue some assurances in writing to protesters at the earliest.
