SES announces EUR 220 mln order backlog for O3b mPOWER network

Tuesday 23 February 2021 | 10:41 CET | News
Satellite operator SES said that four of the top five largest cruise companies have long-term strategic framework agreements in place to use its O3b mPower network, which is due to enter service in early 2022. This has resulted in an order backlog in excess of EUR 220 million, said the company, with most contracts extending through 2026 and beyond. The operator's SES Networks business line is an established market leader in connectivity services for cruise ships, providing in the past around two thirds of the total internet capacity delivered to the cruise industry.
