Meanwhile, it is worth mentioning that Ashish Mishra, is the founder of an initiative called the ‘Police Mitra’. The initiative which was started in 2017 aims to connect people in need of blood with those who are willing to donate.

A couple of months ago it was reported that a bride in West Bengal had organised a blood donation camp before her wedding. Noorjahan Khatun had taken this step in September last year in order to help the medical community. This was done by the 28 years old bride at a time when reports of blood banks drying had surfaced on the internet. She had informed the media that around 32 people donated blood in the camp that she held. Furthermore, she also helped children with their education by providing them books during the coronavirus crisis.

Speaking to news agency PTI, Noorjahan revealed that she had come to know about the condition of blood banks that was caused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So, in order to help people in the time of crisis she chose to take this step which according to her is a ‘small effort’ in a time of such crisis. The inspiring woman also said that the book distribution was her way of appreciating the efforts of those children who had performed well in the board examinations.
