A strategy that you always use to take your decisions in Personal or Professional life.
I ask myself one main thing before I take any decision in my life - Will this move improve the quality of my life?
• Whose advice do you seek when in a dilemma?
- Two people : my dad for whom I am still his little princess and my husband who's also my business partner, my mentor , my best friend and my worst critic.
• What has been your biggest achievement?
- Setting up my first business as a sole proprietor, and selling it at profit within 2 years of it's establishment.
• One thing that you want to change in yourself.
- My need for speed. Be it office or home, I like to get things finished before deadline and without any compromise. That makes me over exert myself by working non stop.
• A line said by your close one that you never forget?
- My mother told me this when I had just started my first business - "Don't just work hard, work smart." . She passed away 4 years back, but this line has defined my working style.
one more line , that's very close to me is when I met with my first car accident at the age of 18, just a few months after I got my license, I called my mother from the accident spot to come and get the car towed and do the police work, and she didn't get mad at me and instead the only thing she asked me before she agreed to come and help me : "you promise you won't stop driving?" . Which at the time, made no sense , as I was standing next to my wrecked car, but it does now. She wanted to make sure that the fear of accident should not let me give up on driving. and That kind of stuck with me, that even if you fail , you got to keep moving on and keep trying. Never let fear dictate who you can be and what you can do.
