Peruvian fixed internet lines up over 14% to 2.7 mln in Q4

There were 2.7 million active fixed line internet accesses in Peru at the end of 2020, up 14.4 percent year on year, according to the latest update released by telecom regulator Osiptel. Residential subscriptions climbed 16.3 percent year on year, offsetting a 0.9 percent dip in business lines, with nearly all of Peru's regions posting a rise. Amazonas (+87.3%), Apurimac (+52.6%) and Huanuco (+46.1%) led the ranking, with connections in Lima and Callao rising over 11 percent, although Loreto posted a 3.1 percent annual fall.
