Congress protest against farm laws & fuel, LPG price hike in Ambala

Congress leaders and workers carrying out Paidal Yatra through the streets of Ambala city on Tuesday.
AMBALA: Congress party leaders including Barara MLA Varun Chaudhary and Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) treasurer Rohit Jain on Tuesday carried out a Paidal Yatra against Centre government’s three farm laws, fuel and LPG price hike and other commodities, through parts of Ambala city.
Congress leaders said that the purpose of this march was to raise the voice for “farmer brothers” and against "uncontrolled inflation.”
They said that if the crops of farmers are not procured on MSP (minimum support price) then the food security of the country will be in danger.
“The government has reason to justify the increasing prices but no solution to control them. Inflation, especially the rise in prices of food items, has made life of the poor man, even the middle class man very tough, but the government is not doing anything about it,” said the Congress leaders.
Slamming the Central government, Barara MLA Varun Chaudhary said, “This is the result of the government's wrong policies. Every day the prices of diesel, petrol and LPG are increasing. The prices of crude oil are regularly declining in the international market but during the rule of BJP government, the price of diesel is increasing every day. If this continues, it will take the country several years behind.”
Talking about the farmers, MLA Varun said, “The annadata (farmers) have raised their voices against three black laws with support of every section of the society. Everyone should support them, as it is not the struggle of the farmers only but these laws will affect the livelihood of every section.”
