Man ends life, wife claims he faced threat of false case

Gurgaon: The manager of a garment firm has been booked for allegedly harassing one of his employees, who was found hanging from a tree near Hero Honda Chowk on Saturday.
The man has been identified as Manohar Ram. According to his wife, Kavita Devi, he was disturbed when he returned home after work on Thursday. “When I asked, he told me his unit in-charge forced him to resign and threatened to frame him in a false case,” she said.
On Friday, Ram did not go out and spent the entire day at home. “At 5am on Saturday, he left home for a walk but did not return,” Kavita said. “He was mentally harassed and tortured due to which he killed himself. Strict action must be taken,” she said.
A case for abetment to suicide has been filed against the manager at the Sector 37 police station.
