WWE: Edge Challenges Roman Reigns for the Universal Title Match at WrestleMania 37

Edge announces his WrestleMania 37 opponent at WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 by delivering a spear.

The Rated-R superstar Edge has finally revealed who he will challenge at the WrestleMania 37, and did it by delivering a spear on his opponent, the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Roman Reigns who successfully defended his title against Daniel Bryan at the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, his celebrations were cut short when Edge's promo music played and the former champion hit the ring and knocked Reigns out with a Spear. He then pointed to the WrestleMania sign, making it abundantly clear that he'd be using his Royal Rumble win to challenge "The Tribal Chief."

WWE's latest pay-per-view kicked-off with the SmackDown Elimination Chamber match that saw Daniel Bryan emerge victoriously, seeing off the likes of Cesaro, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, King Corbin and Jey Uso. However, immediately following that victory, Roman Reigns came out to face an exhausted Daniel Bryan. The former champion did surprise everyone with a quick counter initially, putting Reigns in a submission hold, but it wasn't enough as the Universal Champion powered out and quickly locked in the Guillotine to pick up a relatively easy victory.

The 11-time world champion, ever since his had kept everyone guessing about who he was going to challenge. He went to all three brands of WWE and teased the respective champions over the past one month.

Reigns seemed to be the likeliest candidate after what unfolded Friday on SmackDown. The Tribal Chief confronted Edge early in the show and laid him out with a spear as SmackDown drew to a close.

WrestleMania 37 will take place in April at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Florida.
