Chaat vendors clash over customers in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat

MEERUT: A video of over a dozen men engaged in a street fight in a busy market area in UP's Baghpat district has surfaced on social media.
Armed with sticks and rods, people from both the sides were seen attacking each other in a market place dotted with eateries.
The video of the brawl was widely shared on social media forcing local police to take immediate cognizance. Police have received complaints from both sides and eight people have been arrested.
The incident took place at a market place in Baghpat Badaut's town.
According to police, a dispute over attracting customers soon escalated into a street fight.
"Vendors at two chaat shops clashed over the issue of attracting customers. We have received complaints and eight people from both sides have been arrested. There is no law and order situation," MS Rawat, circle officer (Baraut) said.
