HYDERABAD:
Telangana on Monday recorded 114 new cases of Covid-19 and 1 death. With this the total count of cases so far into the pandemic has reached 2,97,712 and the death toll stands at 1,625. With 143 patients being declared recovered on Monday, a total of 2,94,386 patients have so far recovered from the coronavirus infection in the state.
The recovery rate currently stands at 98.88 percent, slightly better than the country average recovery rate of 97.2 percent. The case fatality rate (CFR) meanwhile stands at 0.54 percent currently. The CFR is better than the country average CFR of 1.4 percent. The state currently has 1,701 active cases.
A total of 14,744 samples were tested on Monday, taking the total count of samples tested so far in the state to 84.7 lakh. With this Telangana has reached 2.27 lakh sample testing per million population.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 24 new cases on Monday , the highest among districts. This was followed by 12 new cases in Ranga Reddy and 9 cases in
Warangal Urban and
Sangareddy each. On account of low testing several districts did not record any new case on Monday.
