HP High Court to start regular functioning from Feb 23

Shimla, Feb 22 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh High Court on Monday passed an order to start it's regular functioning from Tuesday onwards as per the practice and procedure in suppression of all previous notification or office order regarding the functioning of the High Court.

Notification issued by the Registrar General of HP High Court Mr Verinder Singh on Monday, a copy of which is with UNI said that the High Court has decided to start it's regular functioning from February 23 onwards.

It is further ordered that the cases which have been filled by email or have been decided or are pending the hard copies along with the court fee should be filed or deposited within 30 days from Monday.

The filling of cases through the email mode is also hereby ordered to be discontinued.

The High Court wasn't able to conduct it's regular functioning since March 23 last year and benches were hearing the cases on-line through video conferencing on account of the COVID pandemic. Currently the High court is closed due to the winter holidays and baring vacation bench courts no others benches were functioning either online or ofline, he added.
