There have been several debates over whether Kate Winslet’s character Rose could have saved Jack played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the 1997 blockbuster movie Titanic. But have you wondered how things would have turned out if the old lady was seen throwing the precious ‘The Heart of the Ocean’ necklace into the ocean?
Well, think no more as a recent tweet that is now going viral has presented netizens with a hilarious alternative ending of Titanic. The tweet, posted by movie buff Pat Brennan shows how the ending scene of the movie would have turned out if the ship crew saw older Rose Dawson, played by Gloria Stuart, throwing the Sapphire-studded necklace into the ocean.
The video shows how Rose is surrounded by the treasure hunter Brock Lovett and his team, who had been looking for the precious jewel all along with advanced mini submarines and other technology.
The alternative scene gives a hint of humorous touch as one of the crew members reacts to Rose’s action by saying, “That really sucks lady!” The two-minute twenty second video clip has been viewed over 1.3 million times on the social media platform since it was posted last week. Pat captioned and said that this ending to Titanic is “hilarious” and would have absolutely ruined the film for him. Netizens have shared their reactions as the tweet collects over 42.2k likes and 6.2k retweets.

While another user wondered if the movie had won the 14 Academy Award nominations had the makers released this version of the ending. One of the users replied to this comment and wrote that the ending probably would have stripped nominations for the best picture, director, editing, and maybe even the background score, and most tragically Gloria Stuart's supporting nomination for the Oscars.
So do you think with that ending it still would've won best picture and 11 Oscars? — Adarsh Rao (@adi1486) February 16, 2021
My thoughts exactly! That ending prob would've stripped noms for picture, director, editing, maybe score, and most tragically Gloria Stuart's supporting nom. Hell, omitting the scene is worthy of the editing Oscar! Hypothetical, that scene is in, what picture takes its place??— Oscar Movie Watcher (@jdr99991) February 17, 2021
