TIM to invest EUR 9.5 mln in Latina FTTH rollout

Telecom Italia (TIM) said it has reached an agreement to extend its fibre-to-the-home infrastructure to the city of Latina in the central Lazio region. The company said the FTTH network will serve to enhance its existing FTTC infrastructure in the city, allowing local residents to access the internet at download speeds of up to 1 Gbps, up from the current maximum of 200 Mbps.
