Gurugram and Faridabad account for 277 of 816 active cases in Haryana

A weekly cumulative data in Haryana shows an increase in the number of new cases in February so far. This is a worrying trend, experts said. In the first week of February, a total of 535 new cases were registered in the state. The number rose to 615 in the week that ended on February 14. Meanwhile, in the last five days, the state’s cumulative new cases stand at 563. Five northern Haryana districts — Panchkula (111), Karnal (100), Kurukshetra (67), Yamunanagar (42) and Panipat (74) — have recorded 43% (352) of the total active Covid cases in the state. At present, Haryana has 816 active cases. Faridabad and Gurgaon, the two southern districts of the national capital region (NCR), shared 33.9%
