Punjab: 'Jal Hai Taan Kal Hai' programme to be aired every Sunday

Chandigarh, Feb 20 (UNI) Punjab government is running the 'Jal Jeevan Mission,' to provide potable drinking water to the rural households and a weekly TV programme 'Jal Hai Taan Kal Hai' is being aired to educate and sensitise all the participants about the objectives and workings of the Mission under 'Har Ghar Nal, Har Ghar Jal' campaign.
The programme will now be aired every Sunday from February 21 at 1730 hrs on Doordarshan Jalandhar/DD Punjabi and on All India Radio Jalandhar (AIR) at 1900 hrs.
This is the first time the programme will be aired on AIR.
Earlier, it was telecast on Doordarshan Jalandhar/DD Punjabi on every Friday at 1705 hrs.
A spokesperson of the Water Supply and Sanitation department said the programme was hosted by renowned actor Bal Mukand Sharma.
He said the main objective of the state government was to provide drinking water to every rural family, school, anganwadi center, health center and community building by March, 2022.
