Kolkata, Feb 21 (UNI) Targetting the Central government on the occasion of International Mother Language Day today, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, "I have noticed one thing, a sense of deprivation towards the Bengal, a stepmotherly behaviour. And if someone in Bengal grows up, pull him down. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Syamaprasad Mukherjee, Ramakrishna, Rabindranath Tagore were also not spared. Why would this happen every time?"
Mamata also accused Central Government of aggression against Bengal and said, "Bengal always means the worst, this perception is very bad. Some is saying Bangal, some is Bongal, what's going on? I know the people of Bengal will stand up against this aggression".
Addressing the public, Mamata said, "Don't say Hello after picking up the phone, rather start saying 'Joy Bangla' instead".
"Why should those who have fought against guns be afraid to fight with naked rats? I have been taught this by my Bengali language to fight like a hero, to fight like a tiger. And a tiger never felt afraid seeing a cat", concluded Mamata.
