'Pangong Lake disengagement key step forward': India-China joint statement after 10th round of talks

The Indian and Chinese armies noted that completion of disengagement of frontline troops in the Pangong Lake area in Eastern Ladakh was a significant step forward, the defence ministry said on Tuesday. "The two sides positively appraised the smooth completion of disengagement of frontline troops in the Pangong Lake area noting that it was a significant step forward that provided a good basis for resolution of other remaining issues along the LAC in Western Sector," statement said.
