City man faces drug charges

Feb. 21—Felix Antonio Tejeda, 39, of Hazleton, faces drug charges after an incident early Saturday in the city.

Hazleton police said charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia will be filed against Tejeda after police responded at approximately 4:44 a.m. Saturday to an address in the 700 block of North Locust Street for a 911 hang up call regarding an unknown problem.

Upon arrival at the location, officers determined that a male, who was identified as Tejeda, was causing a disturbance inside the residence.

During the investigation, Tejeda was found to be in possession of a small amount of suspected cocaine and methamphetamine, and related drug paraphernalia.
