Orlando Pirates progressed to the Group Stages of the CAF Confederation Cup with a 4-0 aggregate victory over Jwaneng Galaxy.

Bucs overcame the Botswana side 3-0 in the first leg away from home last week and followed that up with another comprehensive 1-0 victory on Sunday.

Linda Mntambo scored the only goal in this game though in the 55th minute at the Orlando Stadium.

Galaxy started this tie on the offensive and won a few early set-pieces that were ultimately dealt with by the Bucs defence.

Linda Mntambo couldn't make any headway with a free-kick of his own moments later ahead of a strike from Jean-Marc Makusu that hit the side-netting.

Kabelo Dlamini forced Ezekiel Morake into a relatively comfortable save from his curling effort on 26 minutes.

Galaxy then hit the Bucs upright with 31 minutes on the clock leading to a scramble the box, ahead of a better Mntambo shot at the other end, but that was always rising over the bar.

Makusu was denied from close-range on the stroke of half-time after some good approach play from the home side.

Azola Tshobeni came close to finding Makusu with a good ball into the box in the opening exchanges of the second period, but just overcooked his pass.

Thulani Hlatswayo was inches wide with a 51st minute header from a Kabelo Dlamini free-kick, but there was no missing for Mntambo, who placed a super shot past the stranded Galaxy keeper, to add to the goal he scored in the first leg.

Monare was just over with a shot from the edge of the area as Bucs began to pile on the pressure, as Morake pulled off a brilliant save to deny Austin Muwowo after he advanced on goal.

Nkanyiso Zungu failed to test the away stopper with his free-kick late in the game, while Bongani Sam, saw two opportunities well saved to deny Bucs a second goal on the day.
