Congress leaders attack Modi Govt through tractor rally

Hazaribagh, Feb 20 (UNI) The Congress on Saturday organised a tractor rally cum Kissan Sammelan in this district through which the party leaders attacked the Centre over the issue of rising petrol and diesel prices and Agriculture laws.
Speaking at the event in charge of party affairs in Jharkhand RPN Singh asked as to whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted to double the income of the farmers by increasing the prices of diesel.
He said that tractors and pumps of farmers run by diesel and due to the rising prices the farmers are most impacted.
He said that the central government will never understand the pain of the farmers as the BJP leaders are clueless about the use of the tractors and since they remain in touch with the industrialists, therefore, all the tractors appear to them as a showroom.
He said that it was the Congress government that had given a loan waiver of Rs 77,000 crore to the farmers. He said that the Prime Minister, on one hand, says that MSP will not be ended but on the other hand he is not making any law over the same. RPN Singh alleged that BJP has always weakened the farmers and said that unless the three black agricultural loss are withdrawn the Congress party will remain with the farmer's agitation.
He said that since the BJP is not able to listen to the voices of the farmers therefore the Congress party has decided to raise their voice across the country.
Addressing the event State Congress chief and Finance Minister Rameshwar said that in India Agriculture was not an occupation but it is rather a culture which the BJP wants to destroy. He said that the Congress party has stood with the farmers before independence and after the independence of the country.
He said that farmers of Jharkhand are with the farmers who are sitting on the borders of Delhi therefore the agitation in their favour will continue in the state.
Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam said that in the Agriculture laws time has not been fixed for storage of the food grains due to which there was a fear among the farmers and the common people as the big industrial houses will store the food grains and increase the inflation. He said for the 90 days farmers are sitting on the roads but their pain is not being featured in Mann Ki Baat of the Prime Minister.
Agriculture Minister Badal said that voices of the farmers will be taken to New Delhi and unless the three black laws are withdrawn the agitation of the Congress party in Jharkhand will continue in support of the farmers.
