Tata Motors 65th Senior Greco Roman National Wrestling Championship: Harpreet Singh and Arjun Halakurki bagged a gold medal in 82kg and 57kg division at the Tata Motors 65th Senior Greco Roman Style National Wrestling Championship being organized in Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar.
Arjun, who was returning from a shoulder injury represented Service boards was one of the two first podium finishes for the SSCB. The other one was Naveen in 130kg.
Harpreet, meanwhile, was part of Punjab’s star-studded Greco-Roman lineup. This was his seventh gold medal which he staked claim to by defeating Sanjeet in 48-seconds.
On the second day, bouts in the remaining weight categories will take place. All eyes will be on Asian Championship gold medallist Sunil Kumar.
