Billie Eilish has taken out a restraining order against a man who she claims has been harassing her for months.
In court documents, filed on 11 February and obtained by E! News, the singer claims 23-year-old John Matthews Hearle, who also goes by the name Adam Lucifer, has been sitting outside her family home, leaving "extremely disturbing and threatening" letters at their property. One letter, according to the singer, read: "You can't get what you want, unless what you want is to die for me."
The 19-year-old has since also taken out protective order for her parents, Maggie Baird and Patrick O'Connell.
The ThereFore I Am singer says the accused would sleep at the school opposite their house and "stare at me while I enter and exit our family's home". He tries to communicate with her, she says, adding that on one occasion, he made a throat-slitting gesture.
"Every time I drive home I am filled with anxiety fearing that Hearle will be there waiting for me, and he usually is," she says in the documents. "After I pull into the driveway and get out of the car, I can hear Hearle talking to himself in an ominous voice, which increases my anxiety level even more."
This isn't the first time the singer has taken out a restraining order. Last year she was granted one against an "erratic" fan who similarly trespassed on her family's property.
