The Whole World is Watching!

Aaron Sorkin’s The Trial of the Chicago 7 released on Netflix back in October 2020. The movie focuses on the real events of the trials of the protestors at the 1968 Democratic convention in Chicago.

To commemorate the anniversary of this historic trial, The Trial of the Chicago 7 will be available to watch for free globally from February 19 at 1:30 PM IST to 1:29 PM IST on February 21 on the Netflix US YouTube channel. The Trial of the Chicago 7 explores a dramatized version of the events at the 1968 Democratic Nation Convention, where a peaceful protest against the Vietnam War turned into a violent clash with the police and the National Guard. The organizers of the protest, Abbie Hoffman, Tom Hayden, Jerry Rubin, Rennie Davis, David Dellinger, Lee Weiner and John Froines, along with Bobby Seale, the co-founder of the Black Panthers, were charged with conspiracy to incite a riot. The trial was one of the most iconic moments in American history.

The Trial of the Chicago 7 is one of the best movies that released in 2020. Sorkin had originally written it as a play and later adapted the play into a movie. As expected from Sorkin, the writing is amazing and the performances of the main cast are beyond perfect.
