Odisha: Death of pigs triggers concern in Silk City

The cause of the death is not known as the BeMC cleaners have already disposed of the carcasses.
BERHAMPUR: The death of pigs in different parts of Silk City has got residents worried. On Thursday, four dead pigs were found near Sri Ram Nagar Street here, adding to the 25 in the past one week.
A team from the chief district veterinary office (CDVO) visited the affected areas on Tuesday following information from the BeMC. Devraj Behera, chief veterinary officer, Ganjam, said, “The cause of the death is not known as the BeMC cleaners have already disposed of the carcasses. We will collect the blood samples of some of the pigs suspected to be unwell and send them to the laboratory for tests.”
