Two policemen injured in militant attack in Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 19 (UNI) Two policemen were critically injured in a militant attack in the summer capital, Srinagar on Friday, according to official sources.

Unidentified militants fired at a police party near a police station at Baghat chowk in uptown Srinagar on Friday afternoon. Two policemen were injured in the attack, they said, adding that the wounded were rushed to a local hospital where their condition is stated to be critical.

The militants managed to escape from the spot. Additional security forces have been rushed to the area and search operation has been launched to trace the attackers.
