Shaheer Sheikh, Arpit Ranka, Sourabh Raaj Jain, Aham Sharma, Vin Rana, Rohit Bhardwaj, Lavanya Bhardwaj and Saurav Gurjar starrer Mahabharat had been the favourite of many back in 2013 and even today, the show has a huge fan-following. The show has received immense love from fans and people do not get bored of watching it on repeat. Yes, we are talking about Arpit Ranka who portrayed Duryodhan in the show. The actor in an exclusive interview with BollywoodLife spoke about bond with his co-stars from the show. Arpit said, "We still share a good bond and speak to each other regularly. I speak to Sourabh Raaj Jain a lot who played Krishna in the show. We keep commenting on each other's Instagram posts. In Mahabharat, Krishna and Duryodhan are enemies but in real life, we are really close friends. I also speak to Aham Sharma who played Karna. We were friend in reel life and even close in real life. " The actor also spoke about the immense love Mahabharat received during the lockdown. He shared, "It is a very nice feeling for an actor. Each actor dreams of doing a show which each one remembers forever. It was my dream as well when I entered the industry. With Mahabharat, I received a lot of love from the audience worldwide. Not just in India, the show is popular in many other countries. In lockdown, the show became a superhit because people who could watch it back then had a chance to watch it again. Even kids have appreciated the show. Even today when I go out, people see me and say 'Duryodhan aa gaya'. So it is a very nice feeling to be loved by the fans." Arpit Ranka also said that Duryodhan is very close to his heart. "The character of Duryodhan is my first love. Pehle pyaar pehla pyaar hi hota hai. Even if I become a big superstar somebody, I will never forget Duryodhan and Mahabharat. Duryodhan was a character which received a lot of love from the audience in spite of it being a negative one. Everyone loves a hero but Duryodhan received the same appreciation from fans. Usually, a villain receives a lot of hatred but the only thing I received as Duryodhan was love from my audience. People told me that he loved Duryodhan and he had a lot of positive points. They even said that Duryodhan's end in the show brought tears to eyes.
