KOLKATA: In one of her sharpest attacks against Union home minister Amit Shah, Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday warned him against crossing the "Lakshman rekha in politics" by targeting her nephew while shielding his son from "corruption charges".
"You cannot hide your son and abuse others. This cannot go on. How can someone with no money amass crores? Kya bhaiya, baat karen?," she said without naming BCCI secretary Jay Shah. Daring Shah to name MP Abhishek Banerjee in his "nephew" barbs, Mamata said what should be questioned instead is how the Union home minister's son became a top official of Indian cricket's governing body.
"What has Amit Shah’s son done? What are his credentials to head Indian cricket? I dare Amit Shah to fight Abhishek first" she said.
