TV personality Pearl Modiadie had her wisdom teeth removed and shared the experience with her 3 million Instagram followers.
"In a celebratory mood today because I finally removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth," a cheerful Pearl captioned a series of photos taken before and after her tooth extraction.
"I recently developed a fear of being under general anaesthesia, so I'm proud to have done it anyway... with lots of prayer and tears just before surgery," she says.
The photos posted show Pearl before she underwent anaesthesia, and moments after surgery, with" red eyes, a drip and an ice pack" on her face.
"I'm grateful to have access to proper healthcare. I never for one second take that for granted," she added in the post, in which she also expresses gratitude and admiration for healthcare workers.
She ends the post, saying: "Now for what I hope is an easy recovery at home."
