SuperSport United are still "the underdogs" in the upcoming DStv Premiership clash against Kaizer Chiefs, says Matsatsansta head coach Kaitano Tembo.
The Tshwane side are in scintillating form which sees them currently hold second position on the log standings after just 16 league outings.
But now, United face a testing period in their quest for title credentials.
They meet Amakhosi on Saturday which follows encounters against Orlando Pirates, AmaZulu and TS Galaxy.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi are in ninth position have suffered a defeat to AmaZulu in a midweek clash.
Star player Itumeleng Khune made headlines again for a goalkeeping error that cost the Soweto giants vital points.
Gavin Hunt's charges have only won one match in their last five league outings but Tembo remains wary of the Glamour Boys despite their recent dip in form.
“Those are not easy fixtures; they are very tough, but the approach is that we take it one game at a time,” Tembo told Sport24.
“We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves. For us, the next game is always the most important game.
“So, the next game is Kaizer Chiefs and we need to go out there with the right frame of mind to prepare properly because we’re playing against a very good team.”
He added: “Look, Kaizer Chiefs are a big team, and you can never go and play a fixture against Chiefs thinking about their previous games or their previous performance. They are a team that has so much quality.
“We are the underdogs in this fixture because we are playing a team with so much character. It’s even worse that they are coming off a defeat as they will try to redeem themselves which is very dangerous.”
Kick-off is at 15:00.
