RBI evaluating effectiveness ECLGS scheme; seeks feedback from MSMEs

New Delhi, Feb 19 (KNN) In a bid to evaluate the effectiveness of Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS), the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has prepared a questionnaire to know the views, feedback and suggestions of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
''As you may be aware that as a part of the Rs 20 lakh crore comprehensive package under ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ to aid Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Government of India had unveiled Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS), where 100 per cent guarantee coverage was provided by NCGTC to Member Lending Institutions (MLIs) on GECL of up to Rs 3 lakh crore to eligible MSMEs.
In this connection, to evaluate the effectiveness of the scheme, we are forwarding a questionnaire to know the views/ feedback / suggestions of the members of your association,'' Tarun Chandra of Financial Inclusion and Development Department, RBI said in a mail to industry associations.
He also requested to circulate the attached questionnaire among members of the association and return the same duly filled in, by February 25, 2021 to the following email ids shwetabhardwaj@rbi.org.in and fiddnewdelhi@rbi.org.in.
