PM Modi to visit Pondy on Feb 25

PM Modi to visit Pondy on Feb 25

Puducherry, Feb 19 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay a day-long visit to Puducherry on February 25.

Talking to news persons, BJP state president V Saminathan said that he will address a public meeting at the AFT grounds here at 11 AM on that day. He will also take part in a government function on that day, Saminathan said.

Reacting to chief minister V Narayanasamy’s claim that nominated members could not vote in the confidence vote, Saminathan said that the supreme court had given a clear verdict in the issue that nominated members got voting right. Narayanasamy usually used to 'cheat' party workers, MLAs and ministers and recently when the party leader visited Puducherry, he was ‘cheated’ in front of the public.

Saminathan wondered whether Narayanasamy is opposing the supreme court judgement. He also pointed out that the Chief Election Commissioner of India Sunil Arora who recently visited Puducherry also made it clear that the nominated members got voting right.

Refuting the claim of the chief minister that MLAs are being forced to join the BJP by threatening, Saminathan said that three more MLAs are poised to join the BJP shortly.
