GET DOUBLE THE SAVINGS WITH PS PLUS: Now through March 3, PlayStation Plus members can save up to 80% on select games during the PlayStation Store's Double Discount sale. (Non-members save up to 40%.)

Hot off the heels of its annual Critic's Choice Sale, PlayStation just kicked off another major savings event for all of you gamers out there who need something new to play.

Now through March 3, the PlayStation Store is running one of its regular Double Discount promotions where you can score twice the savings on hundreds of already-marked-down games if you're signed up for PlayStation Plus, the platform's premium subscription service for online multiplayer gameplay. (Not a member yet? You can save $5 on a 12-month subscription via Amazon.) If a game is listed as 25% off, for example, it's half off with PS Plus right now.

Note that while the PS Store's deals landing page says its Double Discount savings go up to 70% for PS Plus members and 35% for nonmembers, we spotted markdowns of up to 80% and 40%, respectively, when we looked through its catalog. (Highlights include Star Wars: Squadrons, ARK: Survival Evolved, Marvel's Avengers, and the Game of the Year Edition of Marvel's Spider-Man, which includes "The City That Never Sleeps" DLC with three extra story chapters.) You've got some serious opportunities to save here, people.
