Toolkit case: Disha sent to three-day judicial custody

New Delhi, Feb 19 (UNI) A Delhi Court on Friday sent 22-year-old climate activist Disha Ravi, accused in the toolkit case, to three-day judicial custody.

Ravi, a Bengaluru resident, was produced to Patiala Court here by Delhi police as five-day police custody came to end on Friday.

The public prosecutor, during the hearing, told the court that Ravi was evasive during the interrogation and police needed more time.

It was also mentioned to the court that another accused Shantanu Muluk, who had been granted anticipatory bail for 10 days by Bombay High Court, will be called on February 22, Monday, for interrogation and Ravi would be needed by the police that time.

Additional Chief Magistrate Aakash Jain accepted the demand of the Delhi police. Ravi's regular bail plea is listed in a session court for hearing on Saturday.

As per police, Ravi created the toolkit and shared it on social media. The toolkit, according to the police, is a document of farmers' protest that has a section titled 'prior action plan' about digital strikes to be conducted through hashtags on and before January 26 and tweet-storms from January 23.
