One more body recovered from Bansagar canal, death toll mounts to 52

Sidhi, Feb 19 (UNI) With recovery of one more body from Bansagar canal on Friday, the death toll in the Madhya Pradesh bus tragedy rose to 52.

The body of another person killed in an accident was found on the border of Rewa district.

The dead cannot be identified yet.

Official sources said search operation is continuing for the fourth day today by National Disaster Response Force, State Disaster Response Force and homeguards.

The incident occurred on Tuesday morning when Satna-bound bus fell into Bansagar canal, which is part of the Bansagar dam project near Patna village, 80 km from the Sidhi district headquarters.
