Senegal adds 449,000 mobile lines in Q4

Senegal's three mobile network operators reached a combined customer base of 19.1 million at end-2020, representing nearly 449,000 net additions since September and a net increase of 1.2 million from end-2019. According to regulator ARTP, market leader Orange maintained its market share of 55.5 percent, while rival Free gained ground for a second quarter, accounting for 25.5 percent of mobile lines, from 25.1 percent at end-September. In the year to December, Expresso saw its market share fall by slightly over 1 percentage point to 19.0 percent.
