Earlier Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Australia was the biggest cricket stadium in the world. It has a crowd capacity of 1 lakh.
The stadium is yet to host an international match since its renovation. Former US President Donald Trump had given a speech in Namaste Trump campaign to bolster India-US relation at the stadium.
Stuart Broad is just two wickets away to break the record of Courtney Walsh (519 wickets) in Test cricket. The upcoming Test match awaits a lot of personal glories as his teammate James Anderson is only eight wickets behind Anil Kumble to become the third-highest wicket-taker in Tests. India’s Ravichandran Ashwin also needs six wickets to become the fourth Indian batsman to take 400 wickets in Test cricket.
The third Test and fourth Test will be played at the Sardar Patel Stadium. The next test will begin on February 24. India and England are currently 1-1 level in the four-match Test series. A series can help the hosts qualify into the ICC Test Championship Final opposite New Zealand.
