OnePlus 9 tipped to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, offer 65W fast charging support
BBK-owned consumer electronics brand OnePlus is soon expected to launch its OnePlus 9 smartphone lineup. Previous rumours suggested that the company is going to include three handsets in this series — OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 Lite. As per the nomenclature, the Pro model is expected to be the most powerful and the Lite model is expected to be the least powerful model of the series.
Now, a fresh set of leaks have emerged online about the OnePlus 9 model, the handset that is said to lie somewhere in the middle of OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 Lite in terms of specs.
As per a tweet by tipster TechDroider, the OnePlus 9 smartphone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, which is the most powerful chipset available from Qualcomm. The device is listed to offer a 6.55-inch full-HD+ display and a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of storage, users are expected to get at least 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, although we expect more than one storage model of the device.
In a followup tweet, the tipster also adds that the OnePlus 9 is going to house a 4,500mAh battery and offer support for 65W fast charging. The company will pack the fast charger in the box, claims the tipster.
