Lucknow, Feb 18 (UNI) Terming the Unnao incident shameful for humanity, Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday said that one more disturbing incident of brutal atrocity by those protected by power has happened in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh which has become a nightmare for the daughters.

He said that two Dalit girls were murdered after being tied to a tree while another is critical in the hospital. This is an extremely sad incident. The harshest punishment should be ensured for those involved in this.

Mr Yadav said it seems like the Chief Minister is not bothered about the law and order situation. All his time is spent elsewhere. Due to the BJP, UP has become the most unsafe state for women and daughters. This is a scary message for the people of the state. The state government is totally unsuccessful in curbing incidents of daylight rapes, eve-teasing and women harassment.

The former UP CM alleged that the BJP government has no policy towards women safety. BJP's ideology views half the population with neglect. The present government has destroyed all the systems for women's honour and safety. Uttar Pradesh has now become 'hatya pradesh.'

Mr Yadav said that the incident which happened in Unnao, which lies close to state capital Lucknow, is proving that 'jungle-raj' has been established in UP. The people are enraged with the frequent incidents of atrocities on Dalits and small daughters.
